Event Details

The annual meeting of the “Managing Organic Residuals Program Work Team” is scheduled for May 31, 2012, in Greenwich, NY (Washington County). The meeting will be held at the Farm Credit East conference room, 394 Rt 29, Greenwich, from 10a-2p.

Program Work Teams (PWTs) provide a mechanism through which Cornell faculty and extension educators connect with stakeholders to identify issues, research needs, create educational materials, and design learning experiences that address the issues and needs within specific content areas, in this case Managing Organic Residuals.

“So, bring your knowledge, ideas and challenges”

Following the meeting, there will be tour of a compost heat transfer facility that takes the energy of composting manure bank and heats hot water needed by the heifer facility.

Everyone is most welcome, but we do ask you to let us know if you are planning to attend so we can be sure the space and food are adequate (lunch will be provided). Please RSVP Lauri at: lew4@cornell.edu or 607-255-1187 by May 23th.  CWMI will reserve a car/van for carpooling from the Ithaca area; please contact Lauri to reserve your seat.
