Fall Foliage Cruise on the Hudson River

ABOUT THE EVENING STAR
The Evening Star is a former US Coast Guard Buoy Tender. After being decommissioned, it was converted to a 34 passenger tour boat and operated on the Erie Canal for more than 10 years. Since 2011, local residents and visitors have enjoyed the scenery from our canopy-covered open deck. Cruises depart from Peekskill’s Riverfront Green Park and cruises north to enjoy the dramatic beauty and rich history of the Hudson Highlands. The 46-foot vessel the Evening Star, is named after Peekskill’s historic daily newspaper.

NOTE: Due to the historic nature of the vessel, it is not fully handicap accessible. From the floating dock, there is a 4 step stairway to board the boat. The restroom aboard the boat is down a ladder-type stairway into the lower cabin.

The funds raised on the cruise will enable Ferry Sloops to continue its mission to bring people to the Hudson to sail the waters, learn the history and its environment, so that they can appreciate the river and make a commitment to keep its water cleaner and safer for future generations.
