A series of four early morning bird walks will be conducted at Five Rivers Environmental Education Center, 56 Game Farm Road, Delmar, at 7:30 a.m. on succeeding Thursdays in September, beginning September 3 and continuing on September 10, 17 and 24. On these outdoor surveys of fall migration, Five Rivers naturalists will lead participants along gentle trails to look for seasonal and year-round species. The long-term data collected on these citizen science outings help to monitor avian trends, such as response to changing land use, climate change and other environmental influences.

The programs are open to the public at no cost. Beginners are always welcome. Participants are urged to dress for outdoor activity. Binoculars are helpful but not necessary. In case of inclement weather, these programs will be cancelled. Please call Five Rivers at 518-475-0291 for more information.
