Home Food Preservation Classes 2015-2016

Put up with us!  Learn how to preserve your garden’s bounty or fresh produce from the Farmers Market or a CSA.  All methods taught are research based.  Recipes are tested for safety. Learn the boiling water bath canning, pressure canning or dehydrating and freezing methods of home preservation. Classes held as indicated at CCEUC Education Center, 232 Plaza  Road, Kingston;  Ulster County Community College, Stone Ridge; UCC Sophie Finn Campus, Marys Avenue, Kingston.

Classes are $30. per class, per person.

September 16: Pressure Canning/Vegetable Soup at CCEUC 6-9pm

October 14: Dehydrating and Freezing at UCCC 6-8:30pm

November 16: Boiling Water Bath/Cranberry Mustard at CCEUC 6-9pm

December 16: Boiling Water Bath/Fruit Butters at CCEUC 6-9pm

January 6: Dehydrating and Freezing at Sophie Finn 10-11:30am

February 17: Pressure Canning/Vegetables at Sophie Finn  9:30am-12 Noon
