WINTER ANIMAL TRACKING
Join WLC and Tracker Julie Lillis at Thorn Preserve. Julie will share her extensive knowledge of the art of tracking. Too often when people walk in the woods they are oblivious to the magnificent stories written in the forest around them. For those who are interested, the ancient science and art of tracking can help us read those stories. Julie’s passion for tracking grew out of a life spent in the outdoors in both New York and Wyoming.
After attending an intensive 3-day Women and Traking Confercne with renowned instructors, including Susan Morse, she knew what she wanted to do – give other the gift of tracking skills. Julie will help you understand that when you connect with an animal through its signs, it engages many parts of us that we might otherwise neglect. The joy of discovery and the challenge of putting the clues together form a hypothesis – a delightful excercise for all ages.
Dress for a cold winter day and wear appropriate footwear for possible snowy/muddy trails. Bring the kids! Event will cancel if it rains or snows. Please no pets.
